i just want to run a lil tab on the result of going all-in with AA or KK....just to see how it runs..heres my last 3 to get started. please dont post or comment i just want to track em for awhile and see if it evens out in the long run...ill also be posting the starting odds

KK vs A/10.....lose....71.2--28.4

Nothing to add today....o i had aces alright... 3 times to b exact and K's once.....guess what? the whole table folded all 4 times..and i didnt even raise the aces and just dbld the BB on the K's.....im telling ya, this damn game of poker will kill a guy..

Well finally a winner.....but boy i took a tough beat also...had worked my way into the top 20 with only about 15 to the money. big stack in front of me kept buying every hand and when i got JJ and he was the only caller i was sure i had him whipped...he reraised my BB and the trap was set!!! I'M ALL-IN!!!!!! sob turned over pckt A'S and out i went....

Poker night last night and i wont make any excuses on the main threads but here i gotta tell ya .....i didnt get diddly in the way of cards...started out getting great hold cards and never got even a small slice of a flop..i was down 500 before we got to 50.00 blinds.....then made a major mistake i think when in a big pot with mega and world#1 i layed down a K high straight after the 10 fell on the river putting 3 hearts on the board..world put in a large wager and not wanting to be down to nothing that early i gave him credit for a flush he probably didnt have and folded..i consider it a strong point of my game calling hands like this and im really disapointed that at such a critical moment in the tourny i blew a golden opportunity...if he had the flush and i lost so be it but after laying it down i was so short stacked i had no way of getting back in the game.....its one of those moments that a newbie can learn from but i've played probably 3000 tournys and am embarrased that i failed in such a clutch situation.....its the differance between winning and losing....and i lost...

did get aces later on and even though the rest of the table had been raising me every hand i tried to get in on... this one.....u guessed it....they all folded .....just wasnt my night.

Gotta admit though those last 4 players were very good players, yea they were making hands but they played em like pros....i really didnt expect those 4 to be THAT much better than everyone else but at least on this night...they were....had we had 100 players i think the final 4 would have been the same guys and if this tourny goes weekly i expect they'll be in there till the end every week they show up....

need to give a lil prop to the lady from across the street..though she went out earlier than im sure she wanted to she showed more game than i thought she had..be careful, shes dangerous....

Been out of town for a few days came back and promptly bombed out of 3 straight tourneys at poker stars....been 9 weeks now since i qualified for the 500,000 sun tourny and its not like i dont need the money. depression is once again affecting my game very badly.....

went to the armpit known as intertops..i hate the place but i cant help but win there....got a 2nd and a 7th in 2 tournys took my winnings to the cash games....got A'S and since it was free money i went all-in....no callers but p/u'd the blinds and the few who called before me....next hand A'S AGAIN!!!!! wat the hell....I'M ALL IN!!!!! this time 2 callers, pot over 130 bucks....3 diamonds on the board and i figure its over but nope! WINNA!!!!!! not bad at all...10 mins tops and im up over 80 bucks....stuck around long enough to get 50 raked hands for the $500 freeroll and got the hell out.....yea 80 bucks aint 500,000....lol but it sure lifts the ol spirits when your running as bad as ive been lately

well another day in the books....tried out Canbet today. same software as bowmans...pretty good..you can play 5 tables at a time without having them all on the screen at once...pretty cool...mostly euro players....tried out a tourny and after getting down to like 600 chips i started playing like a wildman and next thing i know im in 5th....got down to 31 players with everybody tight as oprahs waistband...i got AJdiamonds and after a big bet the flop came diamond diamond J....1 guy goes all in we both have about 11,000 in chips i got top pr Akicker with a flush draw...he turns over J5 no diamonds.....easy winner!!!!!!! ARE U KIDDING ME?????? turns a 5 rivers no help and im 1st to worst in 2 seconds....man i wanted that win....top prize was over 800 but 31st pd nothing.....ill b back tomorrow for the 1000 freeroll....euros beware!!!....lol
went back to the armpit for the 2000 freeroll....lasted about 10 hands...as usual...it speaks more to the low quality of players than my abilities but i think im as good as it gets at the pit..but have never done better than maybe 15th in any of the $2000 freerolls and they have 5 a month..i rarely miss any of em....ofcourse their rigged....lol
played 1 more and finally got some luck goin....led it pretty much wire to wire then lost 1st place in the heads up....o well ...overall a good day. i can hang withem at canbet and the bankroll keeps climbing at the armpit...

by the way, post flop on thehand at canbet i was 92.4 vs 6.2.....LOSS

things are really picking up. no im not getting rich and havent even entered anything major but i am playing much better of late.
the canbet freeroll...i was rolling in this thing. its rare that i actually gain the respect of other players in an online tourny so much that they are actually afraid to call but this night it was happening...1 thing i did however since this was a freeroll was to screw a money finish and go for the win or nothing....well i got nothing as i took a bad beat and finished 40th when it was paying 30 but normally i would have posted and folded and took the 30th place money. instead i attacked the whole way...i was happy and i can tell you now in just 2 tournys at canbet the players know who i am...ill be posting about a big win here soon .....
well last week i layed down a big hand in the members tourny this week i called one....and lost...i had a hand, i thought it was a long shot my opp had hit the flop..i was wrong...hopefully better next week....in fact ill guarantee it!
after the members tourny i went to the armpit and promptly won a tourny!!! thats like 4 top 5 finishes in my last 6 tournys there..yea the competitions weak but to avoid a suck out or badbeat to last that long against anybody online shows im returning to form....been multi tabling the no-limit cash games there as well and my balance is zooming! i may need it to pay the rent this month so it couldnt happen at a better time...
trying to avoid the all-ins lately so nothing to report there....tomorrow night the 500.00 raked hand tourny at the armpit...hopefully about this sametime tomorrow night ill be posting aa winning report from there as well

All good things must come to an end

and so it was with my winning streak....did i get my ass kicked today!!!!

1st off i sprained my left wrist and it hurts like a MF'R!!!! damn i swear if it was broke it couldnt hurt much worse.

so i went to the local b&m room at promptly dropped 80 bucks at 4/8 limit poker....could not buy a frickin hand while this 400lb old geezer next to me played any 2 suited cards and musta hit 15 flushes in the 2 hrs i was there...the last hand i flopped a 4 card straight flush...got no help and ill be damned if the guy didnt have a J high flush to beat my 9 high....out the door i went.

came home went to the armpit and kept getting disconnected so i moved to poker stars..there i played a WCOOP entry sat tourny using FPP points...crapped out in no time...
moved over to canbet jumped in a tourny there with only about 70 players..caught several big hands early jumped out to a big lead and then spit the bit....couldnt buy a premium hand and eventually bombed out in 29th after going all-in with A5 and getting called by AK.....

Then to top it off i spent an hr listing an item on ebay and when i hit the submit button it tells me the systems down for maintenance.......some days it just dont pay to get up at all.....:hitting:

Didnt realize id gone a week without posting here. i guess i should come clean with the reason i started this thread. i was watching an old WSOP rerun and one of the players was a shrink from a town not far from here, so i went to see him..only cost me 75.00 for 30 mins so i figured what the heck. ive got big time probs dealing with losing streaks , in sportsbetting they last a few days but in poker a week or 2 is actually below avg...i was looking at hanging it up. well his only suggestion was verbalizing my thoughts and since my dogs not a very good listener i thought id bring here..so there u have it

anywho this week started out very good, smoking hot at intertops, winning cash games at both canbet and poker stars, nothing huge but a boost to the confidence level for sure. dissapointment at losing to only 5 players in the r/x members tourny though quickly brought me back to reality..but the winning continued at the cash games so when i saw that fridays bet on poker tourny had me listed as a long shot it provided some real motivation..winning the $250 guaranteed the night before had me high as kite going in....however as i often do in big tournys i played tight as hell, saw way to few flops and ended up short stacked when the going got tough..had to take a bigger risk than several i had passed on earlier and busted out in 280 something place...very depressing. i just done the exact same thing in a $5 rebuy qualifier to todays 750,000 guar at stars and ended up losing to KK with 99..10 weeks now i think it is since i made this tourny and i think ill hang up the satel attempts all together...if i can manage a 200 buck win during the week ill just buy in other wise screw it.
which means with tunica only a few weeks away im not feeling real good about my chances...beating 800+ players is not +ev the way im playing right now..ive folded Ax so many times in the last few weeks its not funny and im not going to go very far waiting on AA, KK or AK to get into a pot or even call a raise.....
I read super systems 2 where doyle advocates calling with any out and betting if you dont hit the flop ( in certain situations) and it sounded like bullshit to me but i guess im going to give it a go this week in the 1,2 and 3 dollar tournys at stars....cant lose much and maybe i can loosen up a lil by playing like that a lil more. those tournys always attract 1000+ players and ive won a good amount in them before so it seems like the road to try....as of now though without some improvement in my stack building abilities im seriously rethinking a trip to tunica....thers always new orleans early next year.
got the $2005 raked hands tourny tonight at intertops hopefully ill have a winning tale to tell next time
